Tracked Standard playas of Jun 2, 2026

Registered in 0.1% of tracked decks, 2.7 copies on average. Last seen May 30, 2026.

A two-mana Boros split between blink and reach is an easy card to admire on paper and a hard one to register on a list, which is roughly where it sits this season. Since its March 2026 release it has been a fringe presence in tracked Standard, the kind of card that shows up in a handful of brews at a couple of copies and not in the rooms where the format gets decided. The build-around math is the problem. Both modes lean on a board that already includes a creature worth blinking and a power total worth slinging, and the decks that field bodies like that in current Standard would rather spend two mana at instant speed on protection or removal than commit a sorcery-speed setup turn. The flicker-then-burn line is real and occasionally backbreaking, but it asks for a specific board the aggressive shells in the format do not reliably assemble, and the slower midrange decks that could assemble it have cleaner ways to close. The result is a tempo swing that wants a deck Standard has not yet built around it.

That deck could still arrive; a Boros aggro or token shell with cheap, high-power threats and ETB payoffs would change the read overnight, and nothing rules one out as the pool turns over. For now the card waits.

It rotates in the fall 2026 cycle, with the exact date pending Wizards' announcement, alongside the rest of its release block. Given that it has not found a home in the format it was printed into, rotation is less a clock than a closed window for the current shells. A later set that rewards low-cost, high-power creatures with ETB triggers is the realistic path back.
