The doubling clause is the whole pitch, and the type list it cares about (Mutant, Ninja, Turtle) tells you which commanders have a reason to look. The cleanest fit is a Ninja deck built around counters, and Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow is the obvious home: the Ninja package is already there, and the van wants a small Ninja to crew it so the attack trigger lands a counter that immediately doubles. The mechanic rewards reading the text precisely. The creature that crews the van does not attack with it; it taps to crew, the van swings, and the trigger puts a counter on that crewer and doubles its total on the spot. So the right line is to crew with the smallest legal Mutant, Ninja, or Turtle you control, let one counter become two on the first attack, two become four on the next, and stack the multiplier across turns. Satoru Umezawa builds carry the Ninja types too, though that commander would rather be cheating creatures into play than sitting still to grow a pile of counters.

Place it at Bracket 2, maybe the low end of Bracket 3 in a dedicated Yuriko counters build. It is a synergy engine, not interaction, and a 4/4 that needs to attack to do anything is too slow for higher tables. The role is a mid-game counters multiplier, the eighth or ninth piece in a Yuriko deck already running effects like Hardened Scales or Branching Evolution; it is worse than a true anthem in a go-wide creature deck and only pulls ahead when one creature is meant to carry the game.

The multiplayer read is gentle. A van that grows one of your creatures does not read as a threat the way a tutored combo does, so it tends to resolve unmolested and snowball quietly. As a 2026 release, treat the price as low and the card as a casual archetype piece, not a staple in anything.

Whenever this Vehicle attacks, put a +1/+1 counter on target creature that crewed it this turn. Then if that creature is a Mutant, Ninja, or Turtle, double the number of +1/+1 counters on it. Crew 1 (Tap any number of creatures you control with total power 1 or more: This Vehicle becomes an artifact creature until end of turn.)
