Staple a functional Divination onto an artifact body and you get a card whose ceiling is absurd and whose floor is unplayable. The seven-mana printed cost is a decoy: affinity means the real price is measured in board state, and in a deck flooded with cheap artifacts this is a flier that replaces itself twice over for one or two mana. That gap between sticker cost and actual cost is the entire design. The flying 2/2 body is almost incidental, a chip clock stapled to the point of the card, which is the enter-the-battlefield draw. The lineage is clear enough: this belongs to the family of artifact card-draw engines that reward you for having already committed to the plan, the same structural bargain affinity struck in its original era, where casting cost collapsed as the board grew. What distinguishes this one is the pairing of a permanent, evasive body with two immediate cards, so it refills a hand emptied by a low-curve artifact aggro deck without asking you to spend a turn treading water. Cast it early off a full board and it is a Divination that also swings; cast it in a deck with three artifacts and it is a mediocre creature you overpaid for. The card does not hedge that tension: it simply demands you build around the affinity count or leave it in the binder.
