The untap clause is what turns this from a buff into a value engine, and the deck that wants it most is Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The math here is not about Yuriko's commander damage trigger, which keys off the mana value of the card you reveal and ignores the equipped creature's stats entirely. The value is positional: a Ninja that connects untaps, which means your unblocked attacker becomes an open blocker the moment the swing resolves, and the free re-attach on the Ninja-enters trigger solves the problem ninjutsu strategies have always had with Equipment, which is paying the equip cost again every time a creature bounces back to hand and a new one swaps in. The card hands itself off for nothing. Satoru Umezawa wants it for the same handoff, since Satoru decks churn through ninjutsu bodies constantly and the re-attach keeps the buff sticking to whatever connected last.

Bracket 2-3 is the home. It is too synergy-dependent for cEDH, where Yuriko's competitive shells lean on cost reduction and free spells rather than combat-loop value, and it is too narrow for precon out of the box. Casual Ninja-tribal piece, sub-$5 if it tracks like most one-mana white Equipment.

Inside a Ninja deck it competes for the Equipment slot rather than displacing a named card. It does a different job than Sword of the Animist or a pure unblockable granter: those add reach and ramp, this leaves your attacker untapped to block. The two life is filler; do not slot this for the lifegain.

Outside Ninja tribal it collapses to a one-mana +1/+1 that untaps an attacker. A few aggressive white voltron commanders might tolerate that, but without the free Ninja handoff you are paying the equip cost the hard way, and the card stops being an engine.
