Ketria Triome

Land — Forest Island Mountain

The triome design took the tapland-that-cycles idea and stacked a third color onto it, which turns the enters-tapped clause from a nuisance into the price of a genuinely deep manabase. Three basic land types is the load-bearing detail: it fetches. Any effect that goes and finds a Forest, an Island, or a Mountain can grab this instead, so a single card threads three colors of fixing onto whatever tutoring package a deck already runs. That is the strategic axis, not the tap. The cycling clause pulls its own weight in the late game. This kind of dual-purpose land answers the oldest tension in a greedy manabase: the fixing you desperately want in the early game is the same fixing that floods you flat once the board settles. Paying three to turn a dead triome into a fresh card resolves that without asking the deck to run dedicated flood insurance. The cost is deliberately steep enough that you are not cycling these on turn three for value; you are cashing them in once every land off the top is a wasted draw. In Ketria's case the green-blue-red identity points at ramp, card advantage, and burn all at once, but the design lesson is color-agnostic: enters-tapped and fetchability and a late-game escape hatch, priced so each one pays for the others.
