Ketria

Planechase splits every plane into two halves, and this one commits both of them to the active player. The first half fires on a trigger: once when you planeswalk here and again each of your upkeeps, it drops a keyword counter (vigilance, menace, or trample, your pick) onto a creature you control. That is slow, dependable accumulation, the kind of layered buff that quietly turns a workaday attacker into a threat the table has to spend a card answering. The chaos half carries the Ikoria pedigree: it digs from the top of your library until it hits a nonland permanent, then either puts that card straight onto the battlefield or into your hand. The battlefield mode is the payoff worth chasing, because it bypasses the mana cost entirely; a fatty you could never hard-cast simply arrives, and the hand mode is the consolation when you would rather hold something for later. The design wrinkle is that both effects are self-directed ("target creature you control," "your library"), which cuts against the format's usual instinct to smear an effect across the whole pod. Ketria is not neutral terrain everyone shares equally. The planar controller is whoever's turn it is, so the plane rotates its favor with the turn order rather than rewarding a single player, but at any given moment it is loudly working for one seat and asking the rest of the table whether they want to keep spinning the die.
