Yedora, Grave Gardener

Legendary Creature — Treefolk Druid4 generic manaGreen mana

Green does not usually get to bend death triggers back on themselves; that has always been white's Reveillark lane or black's outright reanimation. What this Treefolk finds instead is a distinctly green answer: your dead creatures do not return as themselves but as face-down Forest lands, stripped of every type and ability and worth exactly one green mana. The tension that makes the ability sing is that a Forest is not a dead card. It ramps you, it feeds landfall, and it becomes a resource that any number of creatures who let you turn lands face up (or animate them, or return them, or blink them) can convert back into the original creature at full value, often with the enters-the-battlefield trigger firing a second time. The face-down clause is doing the real design work: it defers the reanimation into a two-step engine rather than granting it outright, so the reward tracks how much of your deck can interrogate lands. Left alone, it is a slow accumulation of Forests that quietly fixes and accelerates. Built around, it is a recursion loop dressed as a ramp package, and the join between those two identities is the whole reason the card is worth the slot.
