Worlds Within Worlds

Sorcery5 generic manaGreen manaBlue mana

Mass exile with a hand-refill on the back end is a symmetrical reset that plays like a two-stage upheaval: the board wipes clean, then everyone gets a window to redeploy from hand before the exiled creatures come home. The order is where the game gets decided. Creatures already on the battlefield leave permanently to their owners' hands, but the fresh creatures put down from hand stay, which turns the spell into a race to have more bodies stashed than your opponents at the moment you cast it. It rewards holding creatures rather than committing them, an inversion of how green-blue usually wants to develop. The self-exile clause is the quiet governor: one-shot, no recursion loop to abuse, no chaining the reset turn after turn. Structurally this belongs to the lineage of symmetrical board-state launderers, the effects that promise fairness while handing the initiative to whoever built around the swing, and at seven mana in a color pair that likes to durdle toward a payoff, casting it is meant to be the payoff. The design problem underneath is a green-blue one: how to give the ramp-and-draw archetype a splashy sweeper without printing it a clean, asymmetrical one. The answer is to make the wipe theatrical and reversible, then let deckbuilding sort out who actually comes out ahead.
