Enchantment3 generic manaGreen mana

Doubling green mana from Forests sounds like a clean build-around, but the trigger quietly reveals how this era thought about land-based ramp versus mana-rock ramp. The condition keys off a basic land type rather than a permanent you control, which means it scales symmetrically across the table and rewards a deck packed with literal Forests instead of fixing or rocks. That symmetry is the price: every green opponent gets the same acceleration, so the card only pays off in a deck that can spend the extra green faster and harder than anyone else can. The impulse belongs to the same fascination with absurd mana output that produced Tolarian Academy and Gaea's Cradle, except this is the patient version: no storm-count payoff baked in, just a steady stream of Green mana pointed at whatever the deck most wants. The added mana is always Green mana, never generic, so it pushes toward big green sinks (X spells, oversized fatties, mana-hungry activated abilities) rather than enabling a splash. It also pairs naturally with effects that grant the Forest type to nonbasics, widening the engine beyond literal basics, though the card itself never demands that; it reads any Forest, however it acquired the type. The result is a ramp piece that defines a deck's center of gravity rather than slotting into one, a fixture of green's most maximalist builds.
