Valor's Flagship

The triple-white cost is the tell: this is a payoff wearing a Vehicle's clothes, priced so that only a dedicated white deck reaches it, and rewarded for arriving there with a 7/7 flying, first strike, lifelink body that crews for just three. But the cycling mode is where the real design lives. Most cards with cycling ask you to choose between the spell and the cantrip; here the discard mode is not a concession, it is a second card entirely, seeding X colorless Pilot tokens that each crew and saddle at power two higher than they read. That last detail is what keeps the cycled mode coherent rather than a random token dump: the Pilots exist to turn on the very category of permanents this card belongs to, so pitching the Flagship arms the rest of your Vehicles and Mounts to fly without it. The result resolves the usual Vehicle tension: a big beater is dead weight with nothing to crew it, and inert once the threats you have already deployed have run out. This one covers both ends of that curve from a single card, casting as a finisher when the game wants a threat and cycling into a crew engine when it wants bodies instead. The design work is in refusing to make you pick which game you are playing before you draw it.
