Undergrowth Stadium

Land

Count the heads across the table and this land decides what it is. The untapped-entry condition sidesteps the usual toolkit fair-format duals lean on: no life to pay, no basic type to reveal, no untapped source already down. Instead it reads how many opponents you face, arriving untapped only when there are two or more. That one clause quietly sorts the card into two entirely different objects. In any duel it is a tapland, flatly worse than the fixing already on offer; in a crowded pod it is a clean untapped source of two colors at no cost. The design answers a chronic problem for big-table play: how do you print a strictly-better dual for pods without warping the smaller games where the same land, free and untapped, would be too good? Gating the reward behind opponent count solves it in a single line. It is the same structural instinct that later multiplayer designs use to scale their reward to how many players sat down, delivered here through the manabase rather than a spell. The result is a land that is functionally two cards depending on the shape of the game: in the pods it was built for, the tapped clause is dead text; everywhere else, it is the whole price.
