The Fact or Fiction shape, rebuilt around creatures. The old pile-splitting mechanic showed you five cards and let an opponent divide them into two piles; you kept one. This does the same trust-transfer dance with a tutor: you assemble the pile yourself, searching up to four creatures with different powers, and the opponent decides which two you keep and which two get shuffled away. The constraint doing the balancing is the different-powers clause, which forces the pile to spread across a range of power values rather than fetch four copies of a single haymaker. That turns the search into a genuine dilemma for the opponent: leave you the two-drop enabler or the game-ender, but not both, and every choice hands you two live cards regardless. The design lives on the gap between what you want and what you're willing to lose. Stack the pile with four cards you'd all happily play, and the opponent can only ever hand you two of them; build it greedy, with four cards you need, and you're gambling that they misread which two matter. It is a tutor that refuses to be a clean tutor, taxing the search with information given away and a decision you don't get to make.
