Thornvault Forager
The tension every mana dork faces is that its ramp evaporates the moment the body eats a removal spell, so it has to be worth more than the acceleration it provides. This one answers that by loading three separate resource conversions onto a single tap. The floor is a green mana, the standard rate for a two-drop dork. But the Forage line launders graveyard cards or a spent Food into two mana of any colors, which reframes the card as fixing rather than pure ramp: it turns dead resources into the exact colors a splash needs, and it does so while emptying a graveyard opponents might otherwise want to exploit. The third mode is the retirement plan, converting the same body into a repeatable Squirrel tutor once the mana base no longer needs help. What makes the design cohere is that these lines compete for the tap: you cannot ramp and forage and tutor in the same turn, so the correct play depends on reading which resource is scarcest at that moment. Forage as a mechanic rewards decks already generating graveyard fill and Food tokens, and this creature is the payoff that converts those byproducts into a color-fixing engine, then into card advantage, all from a green two-drop that never stops being useful.
