The self-mill-into-fixing pattern usually lives in graveyard-recursion shells, but here it's wired to something quieter: a two-mana Selesnya body that digs three deep and hands back the artifact or land you actually needed, treating the yard as a filtering tool rather than a resource to loop. What sets the design apart is the second clause, a graveyard-activated monarch grab gated behind commander presence. Monarchy is normally handed out by a permanent that sits on the battlefield inviting removal or an attack to steal the crown; this instead pays three mana to exile the card from the yard and crown you outright, no fragile enabler left in play. The commander-control requirement is the leash on that power: you cannot cash in the crown until your general is out and holding the fort, which ties the incremental card-advantage engine to the board state that can defend it. It's a small, layered piece of Selesnya value that asks you to spend the card twice, once as a filtering body and once from the graveyard as a delayed monarch payoff, with the monarch clause functioning less like an aggressive draw engine and more like a reward for having already established your commander.
