Taunting Sliver

Most Sliver lords sharpen the tribe into a weapon aimed at your opponents' life totals: keyword grants, stat buffs, evasion piled onto a wide board. This one aims that redundancy at the table instead. The granted ability triggers on entry rather than sitting as a static grant, so every Sliver that resolves after this is in play (including the 3/3 itself) queues up a goad on an opponent's creature. Note the direction carefully: Slivers already on the board when Taunting Sliver arrives do not retroactively trigger, since they never enter again; the payoff is on deployment going forward, not on the standing army. Built the way the tribe wants to be built, each new Sliver drags another blocker into swinging at everyone but you, the count climbing turn after turn. That is a different job from the wrath-resistant, curve-topping payoffs most Sliver lords supply. It wins no fight directly; the body is filler. What it manufactures is redirection, converting the tribe's characteristic width into a device for pointing other players' attacks away from your life total and into each other. Goad's redirection matters most in multiplayer, and grafting it onto the most redundancy-hungry creature type in the game produces the rare Sliver design that reads less as an aggro enabler than as a table-management engine, one that grows more suffocating the longer the game runs and the more Slivers keep landing.
