Task Mage Assembly
The communal pinger, and one of the strangest expressions of Prophecy's Pit Fighter design philosophy: the activation cost reads "any player may activate," which turns a one-sided removal engine into a shared resource sitting in the middle of the table. The per ping is steep enough that nobody fires it casually, and the sorcery-speed clamp removes its value as a combat surprise, so the effect that survives is grindy attrition rather than tempo. The genuinely clever piece is the self-sacrifice trigger when no creatures remain on the battlefield: it ties the enchantment's existence to the board state it preys on, so the Assembly cleans itself up once the creatures it was built to chip away are gone. That is a designer solving a permanence problem in flavor rather than text, a recurring Prophecy habit. Whether a board-wide, opponent-usable pinger that costs two generic mana every shot was ever worth a card is a separate question from whether the design is honest, and it is honest: the public activation is a real constraint, not window dressing, because an opponent can point your own enchantment at your blockers as readily as you can point it at theirs.
