Evasion that costs nothing to your deck and everything to a very specific opponent: this turns your whole board unblockable, but only against a player whose mana base happens to include an artifact land. That conditional is the entire design, and it is a product of an era when Seat of the Synod, Vault of Whispers, Tree of Tales, Great Furnace, and Ancient Den were everywhere and slotting an artifact land into a deck was a routine fixing decision. Against that field, a green three-drop turning your creatures into an unstoppable swarm was a real plan. Against any deck running ordinary basics and duals, it is a 2/2 with no text that does anything: a three-mana vanilla body that costs you a card and a turn the moment you misjudge the room. The Dryad type is incidental; the card is a metagame answer dressed as a creature, a hate-bear pointed at a single archetype rather than a single keyword. What makes it worth a second look is where it puts the dial: the power level is set entirely by the opponent's deckbuilding rather than your own, a rare and brittle place to seat a card's value. Read the room right and you have free team-wide evasion; read it wrong and you have committed three mana to a blank. The artifact-land dependency makes it close to unplayable wherever those lands are not a default inclusion, which is almost everywhere.
