Szarekh, the Silent King

Mono-black recursion usually means graveyard trawling: Reanimate, Living Death, the slow-motion attrition of raising your own dead. This attacks the problem from the other direction, converting a swing into a self-milling dig that specifically hunts artifact creatures and Vehicles. The mill-three-on-attack template is not new, but the filter here is narrow by design: you recover only off the metallic bodies and machines turned up in that particular dig, never off whatever else lands in the yard. That makes the attack trigger a payoff and an enabler at once, threading toward a hand refill rather than just feeding the graveyard. And the trigger fires on the declaration of the attack, not on damage, so the engine keeps humming even into an empty board or a chump block: the flying 3/4 body wants to raise its hand every combat, and evasion means it can do so without trading into the biggest thing across the table. Where black's recursion loops tend to be one-shot resurrections that ask you to build a graveyard worth dipping into, this asks you to build a deck worth milling: a critical mass of artifact creatures dense enough that three off the top reliably surrenders one. It occupies an intersection black rarely gets to hold, an aggressive attacker that is also a rummaging engine, and it earns the dual role by keeping the payoff type-locked to artifacts and Vehicles rather than open-ended.
