Three effects, three charges, but the clause doing the work sits in five easy-to-miss words: "that hasn't been chosen." This is a battery, not a wand. Each activation permanently retires one of its options, so the artifact walks down its own value curve one pull at a time. Two of the modes are pure accretion you can spend on your own schedule: Stimpak draws a card, Fancy Lads Snack Cakes leaves behind a Food token for later lifegain. The third, RadAway, is the built-in kill switch, stripping a player's rad counters and sacrificing the artifact in the bargain. Because you pick modes in any order, the sequencing carries all the tension. The optimal line is usually to spend the draw and the Food on early turns and leave the artifact parked with only RadAway remaining, insurance you can cash at any point without slowing the other two down. The genuine cost comes at the other end: fire RadAway first and you surrender both accretion modes, so pulling the answer early means throwing away the value you paid a cheap price to bank. That structure is what pays for so many effects at so low a cost; the card removes itself from the board, but only on your terms. The rad-counter clause anchors it to a poison-adjacent damage system where that answer is worth carrying; without that context it collapses into a slow cantrip stapled to a Food maker. Its most valuable ability is the one that destroys it.
