Spara's Headquarters

Land — Forest Plains Island

A triome counts as all three of its basic land types at once, and that single fact is the whole structural argument for accepting a land that always enters tapped. Fetchlands do not read mana; they read subtypes, so a Forest Plains Island can be found by any fetch that names one of the three, folding a Bant splash into a fetch package built for one color. The tapped clause is the price for that flexibility: dual-land-caliber fixing across three colors, paid for by a full turn of tempo every time it lands. Cycling is the release valve on that liability. In the late game, when a tapped land is dead weight and the fixing no longer matters, three mana converts a flood card into a fresh draw, so a topdeck that would have been mulligan-adjacent instead becomes a card you were glad to see. The lineage is the old untapped-dual-versus-tempo trade that has run through fixing lands since the beginning, resolved here by adding an escape hatch rather than by scrubbing the tapped downside off the card entirely. A three-color land that never rots in your hand is a fundamentally different deckbuilding object than one that does, and the cycling cost is small enough to be paid off the very colors the land produces.
