The transform cost here breaks the werewolf mold entirely. Standard double-faced werewolves flip on a casting-rhythm trigger: no spells last turn, the night side comes out; a spell gets cast, it reverts. This one ignores that loop and asks for mana instead, six of it () on top of the four you already spent to cast the front face. That makes the flip a deliberate sink rather than a thing the table's tempo decides for you, which is the right shape for what the back end becomes. The Eldrazi-corrupted side trades passive board presence for a repeatable burn engine: 2 damage at any target every time it attacks, no combat connection required, the trigger fires on the declaration whether or not the body survives to deal combat damage. The front face's two-creature ping serves as the down payment, clearing early blockers or finishing X/1s before you sink the mana to wake the horror up. The whole card is a study in front-loaded value versus back-loaded reach: the entry ping is guaranteed and immediate, the attack burn is a recurring faucet that costs a heavy up-front investment and then keeps paying every turn the wolf can swing. Where most werewolves surrender the flip to the whims of the turn cycle, this one hands the decision back to the pilot, someone with mana to spare and a board that has already done its early work, choosing the exact moment to loose the burn engine.
