Silent Departure

SorceryBlue mana

Cheap bounce spells suffer from a clock problem: a one-mana setback stops mattering the moment the board grows past it. The two-cost structure here is the answer. One blue buys the front side, removal-on-a-budget that undercuts almost anything else returning a creature to hand, while the flashback cost asks five mana for a second cast straight out of the graveyard. That split is doing all the strategic work. The cheap front end is meant to be spent freely; the back end is expensive enough that you only reach for it when a second bounce genuinely closes a game or strands a creature its controller cannot easily recast. Both halves resolve at sorcery speed, so this is not the kind of bounce that ambushes a mid-combat attacker or untaps your own threat on an opponent's end step. It works on your turn, on the offensive: clearing a blocker before the swing, sending a freshly resolved threat back so the recast eats a turn, peeling off the last point of resistance a tempo deck needs to finish. Built this way, the card runs on patience. It wants to be cast once early, sit in the yard, and wait for the main phase where five mana to bounce again is the line between a stalled attack and a lethal one.
