Serra's Embrace
Bundle three abilities onto a single creature and you get the loaded stat-and-keyword package white Auras kept circling back to. The math is deliberately generous: +2/+2 turns a modest body into a real clock, flying makes that clock evasive, and vigilance is the word that separates this from a plain pump-and-fly Aura. Vigilance dissolves the usual aggression-versus-defense tradeoff, because the creature swings every turn and still stands back to block, so the controller never has to pick between applying pressure and keeping the board safe. The cost of all that is the two-for-one risk every Aura of this shape carries: commit the spell and the host, watch a single removal answer take both, and the trade collapses two cards into nothing. That exposure is what forces the rate to be this loaded; a less generous package would never justify the commitment. White has reworked this same arrangement in cheaper and more resilient frames over the years, but the original states the case plainly: not merely bigger and flying, but bigger and flying and free to attack without ever lowering its guard.
