The payoff that the Ally tribe was built around, and a stark statement of how the mechanic is supposed to scale. Ally was an enters-the-battlefield rally engine: every new Ally pumps the team, gains life, or chips at the opponent, and the tribe's reward for committing bodies was supposed to be incremental board advantage. This rewrites that math into raw cards. A 1/3 that taps for as many draws as you have Allies turns a wide board into a refill button, and because the count is read on resolution rather than on cast, it scales with whatever you've already deployed instead of a single rally trigger. The cost of that ceiling is built into the body: a fragile five-mana 1/3 with no immediate impact, a turn of summoning sickness before it does anything, and a tap that leaves it vulnerable to removal. It also wants the deck already to be working: with one or two Allies it is a worse Divination on a stick, and only the boards it can't easily assemble make it absurd. That tension is the whole design. It is the tribe's top-end reward, deliberately back-loaded so that it pays out only to the player who has already won the development race, not the one looking for a way back into it.
