Sandstorm Salvager
The 1/1 body is a decoy: this is a token-anthem engine wearing a fragile shell. It arrives paying its own tax, spinning off a 3/3 Golem the moment it lands, so the activated ability has something to pump on turn one of the card's life. From there the design is a slow-burn scaling machine: two mana and a tap grows every creature token you control, not just the Golem, and hands them trample so the counters actually convert to damage instead of stalling into a chump wall. The clause that keeps it from being oppressive is narrow but deliberate: it only pumps tokens, so the reward comes from a board built out of copies, treasures-turned-bodies, and other spun-up artifacts rather than your best hard-cast creatures. That restriction is what points it at go-wide artifact and token shells specifically, where the Salvager becomes the mana sink that turns a flat board into a lethal one over successive turns. The self-provided Golem matters more than it looks: it means the card is never a dead investment, always leaving a 3/3 behind even if the anthem never fires, and it lets the ability start compounding a full turn earlier than a build-around usually can. A green artificer that manufactures its own payoff and then multiplies it: the ceiling scales with how many token-makers surround it.
