Blue's cloning tradition splits along a fault line: the old Clone line copies creatures, while artifact-copying stays rarer and narrower. This modal sorcery folds both halves together and then hands you the upside of taking both modes for the same six mana, so a single cast can build two permanents from one card. The artifact-typing clause on the creature copy is the real wrinkle: a duplicated creature returns stamped as an artifact on top of its other types, which matters wherever you count artifacts or lean on artifact synergies and affinity-style payoffs. That turns the effect into something that doubles down on a board state rather than answering one. Six mana at sorcery speed is the toll for the flexibility, and it puts this in a different category from the tempo cloners: Phantasmal Image and Phyrexian Metamorph both arrive cheap and early, while this one wants two good targets already on the table before it justifies its cost. The ceiling lives in two-for-one mode, copying the strongest creature and the strongest artifact in one cast; the design asks you to wait until the board is worth duplicating, then rewards the patience with permanents that keep contributing after the spell resolves.
