The end-step trigger is doing something most anthem-plus-tokens designs never bother with: it doubles only the tokens of the chosen type that entered this turn, not the whole board. That "entered this turn" clause is the entire balancing act. It rewards you for actively generating fresh tokens each turn (a Krenko activation, a Secure the Wastes, a soldier-making combat step) and gives you nothing for a static army sitting still. The result is a doubler that compounds explosively when paired with a repeatable token engine but sits inert on any turn you make no fresh tokens of the chosen type. The +1/+0 for the chosen type is the pedestrian half, a standard tribal anthem bolted on so the enchantment does something on an empty turn; the copy trigger is where the card actually lives. Structurally it works less like a lord and more like a delayed, tribe-locked Doubling Season fragment: it never touches counters or the initial creation, only retroactively copies what your own effects already spun up. The narrowness cuts three ways: one type, tokens only, one clock per turn. Those limits keep the effect from spiraling out of control, and they also confine it to decks built around a single token-making creature type rather than any generically wide board. It fills the gap between a flat anthem and a full-board doubler, built for the go-wide tribal player who had already committed to one creature type and wanted their production to snowball.
