Two twelve-sided dice, and the tension lives entirely in the fact that you cannot claim both faces. Whatever number you assign to the sweep is the number you forfeit as Treasure, and whatever pile of artifacts you rake in is damage the board never took. Roll a 12 and a 3 and the fork is stark: a near-lethal wrath that drops three Treasures behind it, or a gentle three-to-each shave that buries you in twelve artifacts. The variance is genuine, but the decision stacked on top of it is where the card actually operates. Most red sweepers charge you collateral damage to your own creatures as the toll for clearing the table; this one refunds you a rebuild fund in the same motion, and the size of that fund runs inverse to how hard the wipe landed. That inversion is the balancing weight the whole effect turns on: the perfect roll for carnage is the poorest roll for ramp, and a fat Treasure result means most of the board is still standing to punish you. It belongs to a small line of chaos-flavored red effects that convert luck into a resource choice rather than surrendering to it outright, and the seven-mana asking price accounts for buying two payoffs off one spell. Whether it plays as a reckless gamble or a dependable value engine comes down to how you weigh those two faces the instant it resolves.
