Here the price is the converted mana value: seven mana to return a single permanent card, with no creature-only clause narrowing it. The target line runs wider than reanimation usually does (any permanent card, an artifact, an enchantment, a planeswalker, a land), which is the design lever that justifies the cost rather than any body or timing trick. Rebound is what turns the rate from merely steep into something with a shape: the spell returns one permanent when it resolves, then exiles itself to wait. On your next upkeep the triggered ability lets you cast it again for free, regardless of the usual sorcery-speed restriction, pulling back a second permanent from whatever the intervening turn buried. That delay is the keyword's whole tension. You pay full freight up front for one resurrection and bank a second that only pays off if you survive a turn with fodder waiting, which rewards graveyard density over a single marquee target. Both castings still occur on your own turn, the first as a normal sorcery and the second off an upkeep trigger, so this is a proactive engine for a deck already winning on board rather than a reactive way to claw back during the opponent's turn.
