Rebound
A redirection spell with a vanishingly narrow lane: it only touches spells that target a player and nothing else, and it can only point them at another player. That excludes the entire universe of removal, burn aimed at creatures, and anything with a creature or permanent in its sights. What is left is the small category of player-only effects: a Mind Twist, a life-loss spell, a forced discard or draw aimed across the table. Critically, the spell has to actually target. Effects that hit each player without choosing a target (the symmetric drains and group-wide discards that read "each player") never qualify, because there is no target to change. Within that sliver, the card works as a deflection, sending the discard or the life loss back at the caster or onto a third player. The design belongs to a Tempest-block lineage of hyper-specific answer cards built more as puzzle pieces than as maindeck staples, and the rate reflects that: cheap, instant-speed, and inert against the overwhelming majority of what a deck actually casts. It reads as a clever trick and plays as a dead card most of the time, which is precisely why its home has always been the multiplayer table, where a single-target discard or a pointed life-loss spell finally gives it something to grab and the politics of choosing who eats a rival's spell carry their own weight.
