Patrolling Peacemaker
Most proliferate payoffs sit in the abstract: play a card that grows counters, then find something worth growing. This one flips the trigger onto your opponents' behavior, punishing the ordinary act of interacting. Every time an opponent points removal at your board, targets your graveyard, or aims a spell at another rival, the counters spread. That turns interaction into a tax paid in your favor, and it does so without any effort on your part beyond having the robot on the table. The body starts as an empty vessel (a 0/0 that arrives already carrying two +1/+1 counters), so proliferate immediately does double duty: it tops off the peacemaker itself while feeding whatever counter-based engine sits beside it, whether that's planeswalker loyalty, saga chapters, charge counters, or a second army of +1/+1 threats. The design leans on a subtle behavioral pressure. Opponents who want to remove your pieces or dig at your graveyard have to accept that doing so pays you, and the crime definition is broad enough that most reactive decks trigger it without meaning to. It is less a threat than an ambient toll booth, one that rewards a board built to catch and multiply the counters it generates rather than a single loyal target to keep pumping.
