Palazzo Archers
Reach on a green three-drop is the ordinary anti-flyer tax, but the second ability turns the card from a passive wall into an active punishment engine. Reach lets it block flyers; the triggered ability lets it retaliate against them without ever leaving the ground, dealing its power to any flyer that attacks you or a planeswalker you control. That clause is the quiet upgrade over a plain defensive body: a blocker that only deters an air assault while it stays untapped gets flown over the moment it commits to one block, but this creature shoots at attackers whether or not it is available to block, and does so every time a flyer swings, at no cost and with no card investment. The design closes green's classic weakness at both ends: the flyer that dodges the block still eats damage, and a squadron of small evasive attackers gets whittled down turn after turn. The 2/3 body is the deliberate ceiling on that power. Two damage picks off most of the one- and two-toughness flyers the ability is aimed at while leaving the genuinely large threats intact, so the retaliation reads as anti-swarm rather than a wholesale answer to the skies. It is a defensive tool for a color that historically had to earn its air defense one blocker at a time, and one that keeps working the turn after the block resolves.
