Outrageous Robbery

Black theft that steals from the library instead of the hand or the battlefield, and the design solves the color's oldest problem with the tactic: black takes your stuff, but it rarely gets to use what it takes. The face-down exile here dodges that trap. Rather than pull cards into your own hand where black's off-color spells would sit dead, it lets you cast the stolen cards straight out of exile with mana of any type, turning an opponent's spell base into your personal toolbox regardless of what colors you actually play. That any-color clause is the piece that makes it a threat rather than a cute trick: a mono-black deck can cast a stolen white board wipe or a green ramp package without a single Plains or Forest in sight. The X in the cost sets how deep you dig, so the card scales from a single peek at the top of an opponent's library to a mid-game raid that hands you a fistful of playable cards, and the instant timing lets you fire it on their end step and spend the loot on your own turn. Crucially, there is no clock on the theft: nothing revokes the exile once it happens, so the pile stays yours to cast out at whatever pace the mana and matchup allow. You can raid deep, bank the whole stack, and dribble it out over several turns. The reward goes to knowing what you are stealing, not to spending it in a hurry.
