Oji, the Exquisite Blade

The blink payload attaches to a trigger most flicker commanders cannot offer: casting your second spell each turn. That reframes what cheap, repeatable flicker looks like, because the exile-and-return needs no sacrifice outlet, no activated ability to tap for, no mana beyond a second cast you were likely making anyway. Where most enter-the-battlefield engines ask you to spend cards or mana to reset a body, this one asks only that you sequence your spells: a cheap enabler followed by anything else fires it. The gating (up to one creature per turn, keyed to that second cast) keeps it from spiraling, but it also rewards a specific hand shape, low-cost spells stacked in front of high-value bodies. The trigger returns any creature you control, so it reloads an enter-the-battlefield engine, resets counters, or clears a threat off non-exile removal, all without consuming the flickered body (Auras and Equipment fall off in the process, so the reset is not free for creatures you have invested in). Reactive protection is possible but awkward: because the ability fires exactly on the second cast, saving a creature from removal means holding an instant to cast as that second spell in response, far more conditional than the free-activation blink most decks lean on. The entry gift of two life and a look at two cards is soft-landing padding that keeps a four-mana body from reading as a pure combo piece. This trades flicker frequency for zero-cost repeatability under a light deckbuilding tax, pushing you toward flooding the early turns with cheap spells rather than expensive haymakers.
