The cleanest expression of devotion as a resource. Where most mana rocks scale with land drops or turn count, this one scales with the density of colored pips already sitting on your board, converting a commitment you had already made (a heavily single-colored deck) into a burst of ritual acceleration. That coupling is what makes it both explosive and honest: it produces nothing on an empty board, rewards the exact deckbuilding discipline the devotion mechanic asks for, and hands the biggest payoff to the mono-color pile that least wants to splash for a different accelerant. Two frictions pay for the ceiling. It enters tapped, so the turn you drop it you get nothing, which pushes the real payoff a full turn downstream. And it taps for one color at a time, so a three-color shell that spreads its pips thin gets a fraction of what a single-color shell gets for the same four mana. The comparison it invites is with Gilded Lotus, which fixes three of any color the moment it untaps regardless of board state; this trades that reliability for an upside no fixed-output rock can reach. Flood the battlefield with one color's symbols and the tap can produce mana totals a fixed rock cannot approach, turning devotion from a keyword payoff into a mana engine in its own right.
