The design gag is that the payoff enforces the deckbuilding constraint rather than rewarding it. Ten cards off the top, one pick per color pair, and each pick must be exactly two colors: no monocolor cards qualify, no three-color cards qualify, nothing colorless qualifies. The trigger reads only guild-gold cards, which means the fistful of value on entry is proportional to how thoroughly you have committed to a five-color deck built out of two-color cards. That is a strange and specific ask. Most five-color payoffs let you play whatever you want across the rainbow; this one narrows the pool to the ten guild pairs and then dares you to fill a library with enough of them that revealing ten cards hits on all ten guilds. A body that flies and swings for six is almost incidental to the puzzle. Gold-matters commanders have long circled this idea, rewarding you for casting or controlling multicolor permanents, but the enter-the-battlefield lottery here is unusually literal: it counts your deck's color-pair density and pays out in raw card advantage the moment it lands, then does nothing if it lingers. Bottoming the misses in random order keeps the dig honest, and the exactness clause does all the load-bearing work. Build a pile of two-color cards and the trigger is obscene; splash a handful of them into an ordinary five-color soup and it whiffs. The reward is the constraint made visible.
