Nested Shambler
The whole trick lives in the phrase "where X is this creature's power." At a base body, this leaves a single Squirrel behind on death: modest chump-block insurance, nothing to build around. The design opens up the moment the power line moves. Every +1/+1 counter, every anthem, every pump effect stacked on this Zombie doesn't just make it hit harder; it multiplies the payout on death, converting one creature's worth of power into that many bodies on the way out. That makes it a rare kind of token generator: output that scales with the same resources a go-wide deck is already pouring onto the board. One Squirrel is unremarkable; five from a single sacrificed creature turns a routine block or a sacrifice-outlet activation into a genuine swing. The color split is doing quiet work too, seeding green tokens off a black body, which threads the needle between a graveyard-and-sacrifice engine and a swarm to feed anthems or convoke. The tokens arriving tapped is the restriction that keeps this from being a free repeatable army: they can't block the turn they're born and can't immediately attack, so the reward is real but delayed by a beat. The card asks you to read a creature's power not as damage but as stored token equity, cashed in the moment it dies.
