Snow Land

A colorless mana source that doubles as removal is the kind of low-opportunity-cost utility land most decks would kill for, and this one buries the catch in the cost line. Tapping for Colorless mana is the floor; the ceiling is four damage to a creature, but you pay for it twice over. Five total mana plus the sacrifice is a steep rate for creature removal that demands you give up the land itself, and the snow requirement means it only fits a manabase already committed to snow sources. That dependency is the whole trade: a deck running snow lands as fixing or as fuel for other snow payoffs gets removal stapled to a land slot for almost no deckbuilding tax, while a deck without snow sources cannot even activate it. The result is a land that asks nothing of you most of the time and asks for your entire turn the moment you need it to kill something. Among the early experiments in folding spell effects onto lands, this one stays honest by tying its payoff to a supertype a deck has to opt into, rather than handing every list a free removal land. The four damage is the right number to matter: enough to clear most early threats and trade up against midrange bodies, not enough to make the cost feel cheap.
