Monoskelion
The Triskelion redesign, compressed and made colorless-cheap. Triskelion arrived with three counters and pinged for one apiece; this trades that ceiling for a body that costs a fraction as much and enters with a single counter, one shot of a damage waiting to be spent. The reason the smaller version bites harder than its rate suggests is that the counter is fuel, not a fixed charge. Any effect that adds +1/+1 counters reloads it: proliferate turns one ping into two, a counter-doubler turns it into a repeatable machine gun, and the moment you feed it a way to grow, the one-time-use dart becomes an engine. That gap between the naked card and the built-around card is where the whole design lives. Left to fend for itself, it answers a single small creature or closes the last point of a game. Handed to a shell that manufactures counters, it becomes a sacrifice-free removal loop and a source of arbitrary reach. The ability is colorless and instant-speed, so it slots into any deck willing to pay the counter-generation tax, and it costs one mana per activation, which keeps the ceiling in check without an engine behind it. It reads as a common-grade utility construct until you notice how much the surrounding board can amplify a single +1/+1 counter, at which point it stops being a 1/1 and starts being a valve.
