Auras have always carried a tax baked into their design: spend a card and the mana to suit up a creature, then watch both go to the graveyard when removal takes the target. Dredge rewrites that math. When the enchanted creature dies, the Cloak waits in the graveyard not as a casualty but as a recursion engine, ready to crawl back the next time you would draw. The cost is real and deliberate: every dredge mills two cards from your own library, so reclaiming the buff burns your next draw and asks you to want a stocked yard. To a graveyard deck that is filling its library into its bin on purpose, that price is pure upside. A +3/+3 enchantment you never truly spend turns one fragile creature into a recurring threat, and against a removal-heavy opponent it inverts the usual aura disadvantage entirely: they spend a card killing your guy, the enchantment returns to your hand, and you have parted with nothing but library you wanted milled regardless. That is the heart of what dredge was for, taking a card type defined by its vulnerability to two-for-ones and handing it a way to refuse the trade outright.
