Tracked Pioneer playas of Jun 2, 2026

Registered in 0.9% of tracked decks, 2.5 copies on average, 1 Top 8 finish. Last seen May 23, 2026.

The card barely registers in tracked Pioneer right now: it surfaces in a sliver of lists, the kind of fringe presence that reads as one pilot's experiment rather than a settled slot. When it shows up, it comes in a small cluster of copies rather than as a baseline four-of, which is itself a tell that nobody has decided how many they want.

The reason is the one the identity blurb names. The sneak cost rewards a deck that already attacks with cheap evasion, and Pioneer's green shells mostly do not. Mono-Green Devotion wants to pay the full five on curve and would rather spend that mana on Karn, the Great Creator or a Cavalier; it has no evasive attacker to bounce and no reason to want one. The aggressive green builds that could feed the alternative cost are not in tournament rotation in a form that wants a five-mana cheat-into-play sorcery either.

So the slot competition is mostly internal to a deck that has not cohered. As a pure ramp payoff, it sits in the same conversation as See the Unwritten for the dig-and-deploy effect, and competes against simply casting the creatures it would find. The random-order bottoming caps the ceiling: you cannot set up the leftovers, which dulls the appeal in any value line that wants sequenced, repeatable advantage.

This is a card waiting on a shell. A green tempo deck built around evasive two- and three-drops would give the sneak cost teeth, converting an unblocked attacker into a board swing. That deck does not exist in Pioneer's current map, and until it does, this stays an experiment at the edges.
