At five mana for a 4/4 with a Man-o'-War trigger attached, this is a P1P3 to P1P5 for a blue drafter, and the pick climbs once a red splash looks reachable. The bounce is what makes the rate land: common creatures here top out around 3/3, so a 4/4 already wins ground combat outright, and resetting a flipped legend or a Shredder, Unrelenting turns the body into removal that also stays on the table. With removal at one to two per color and mostly damage-based or aura-based, undoing a bomb on the way down means eating the opponent's best card and their best answer on consecutive turns.
The red activation is where the card stops being fair. The TMT common pool is thin on artifact-matters payoffs but wide on cheap artifact bodies and Food, which is exactly the fuel the sacrifice clause wants. Anchovy & Banana Pizza, the spare Equipment, the bounced body you replayed: each one is a +1/+1 counter and a turn of menace and haste. The counter sticks, so the card grinds upward rather than comboing off, and menace matters specifically because the Sneak creatures cluttering the format make for poor double-blockers.
So the splash runs the right direction: a blue base reaching for red, not a red deck reaching for a five-mana blue creature. UR Artifacts is the home, but any blue deck that can support a few red sources should take the activation seriously. The punisher is Grounded for Life, which kills him for a single white mana once he taps to attack. Hold the activation up when you can, and deploy on a turn with an artifact already in play to feed it.
