A hasty evasive 2/2 that also wants to bury you in cards is a strange animal, and the two halves pull against each other in a way that gives this Siren its shape. The body reads as pure beatdown: flying and haste mean it comes down swinging past most of the ground, pressuring life totals from the turn it lands. The card-advantage clause, though, wants patience. Investigate fires only on your second cast of the turn, so the payoff is deferred value, not tempo, and each Clue still demands two mana and a sacrifice before it becomes a card. What makes the design worth building around is that it recategorizes cheap spells. A cantrip or a one-mana interactive spell that would otherwise be filler becomes a Clue-generating trigger the moment you hold it back to fire second, which rewards a low, spell-dense deck that treats the two-spell turn as a resource rather than a coincidence. The tension is real: the more aggressive line dumps your hand on curve, but the richer line asks you to keep a spell in reserve every turn so the trigger keeps churning artifacts you cash in later. It is a value engine wearing an aggressor's body, and the pilot who gets the most from it protects the second cast the way another deck would protect its clock.
