Fact or Fiction handed the split to your opponent and let them agonize over how to divide your library so that whichever pile you took stung least. This borrows that same divide-and-choose structure but points it at the opponent's own board, and the reframing changes everything: the pile they build is not a gift they are handing you, it is a confession. Cluster your bombs and I take that pile; spread them to hedge and both halves cost you something real; there is no arrangement that hides the best creature, because the splitter never gets to decide which half dies. The mechanic turns an act of self-protection into an act of self-incrimination, which is exactly what the name is pointing at. At a multiplayer table each opponent sorts independently and you choose against each one, so the punishment grows with every foe rather than fixating on a single board. What keeps it from running away is that it demands live boards to matter: against an empty or single-creature battlefield it whiffs or degrades into an overpriced edict, and the sorcery-speed restriction means you cannot ambush a fresh threat the turn it resolves. This is the pile-split used as a removal engine rather than a card-selection one, and its cleverness is that it makes the opponent's own risk assessment the instrument of their loss.
