Mabel, Heir to Cragflame
Mouse tribal has to solve a problem most tribal payoffs sidestep: mice are small, and a lord that only pumps the team leaves you drawing dead once the board is gone. The design answers that by splitting the payoff in two. The anthem is the tribal half, the part that scales with a wide, cheap board of small bodies. Cragflame is the resilience half, and it is the more interesting piece: an Equipment token means the buff survives the creature it started on. Kill the mouse holding it, and the +1/+1 with vigilance, trample, and haste stays on the battlefield, ready to be equipped onto the next threat for , turning a fragile go-wide plan into something that keeps a single carrier live. That combination (a lord that also generates a persistent, transferable weapon) is what separates a genuine build-around leader from a curve-filler in an aggressive shell. Even without another mouse in play, the token gives you a haste-granting piece of equipment that turns any body into an immediate attacker, and the vigilance means the equipped creature blocks after it swings. The tribe supplies the density; Cragflame supplies the thing that outlasts a sweeper. Read the two abilities together and the intent is clear: a leader built to make an army of the game's smallest creatures matter, then to keep mattering after the army is answered.
