Two equip costs, and the gap between them tells you which deck this was built for: to strap it onto anyone, or to hang it on an Elf. The payoff is an attack trigger that converts the equipped creature's power into a burn shot, but the targeting clause does the balancing work. It can only hit a creature the defending player controls, not the player and not anything on a third side, so this is a repeatable removal engine on a stick rather than a reach machine. Every swing threatens to snipe a blocker, a mana dork, or a value creature before combat math even enters the picture, while the equipped attacker still connects with its body separately. Wide Elf boards, where power gets stacked by anthems and lords, turn a single equip into a recurring assassination each combat step. The usual Equipment friction is that the gear is only as good as whatever carries it; this design sidesteps that by tying the discount to the tribe most likely to flood the board with cheap, buffable attackers, so the Equipment and the archetype pull in the same direction rather than one propping up the other. It is a narrow tool by intent, a red-adjacent removal outlet dressed as an Equipment, and it rewards the exact tribe named in its own equip line instead of pretending to fit anywhere else.
