Kwain, Itinerant Meddler

The design pedigree here is Howling Mine, but rebuilt for the multiplayer table and handed a switch. Symmetrical card-draw engines have always been a devil's bargain: they refill everyone equally, and the person who benefits most is usually whoever is losing. What this rabbit changes is who controls the tap. The draw only happens when its controller decides to activate it, so the symmetry is offered rather than imposed, and the small life gain riding along is the sweetener that makes accepting the offer feel like courtesy rather than concession. That framing is the whole point: it turns a group-hug staple into a political instrument, a resource the table wants active and its controller can withhold, use as a bargaining chip, or simply refuse to run when the board state favors the opponents. The optional wording on each player's draw ("may draw") is doing subtler work than it first appears: the controller cannot exclude anyone, but each individual player chooses whether to accept the card, so a player sitting on a full hand or racing to empty it can decline while everyone else refuels. The negotiation runs both ways. A 1/3 body survives most incidental removal and never needs to enter combat, which is precisely what this engine wants: it exists to tap, not to threaten. Its power lives entirely in the social layer, in the timing of the controller's decision to pull the lever at all.
