Kudo, King Among Bears

Legendary Creature — BearGreen manaWhite mana

A static ability that rewrites the board's whole power grid without touching a single card individually: every other creature, yours and your opponents', becomes a 2/2 Bear regardless of what it started as. The design is a symmetrical anthem-in-reverse, flattening the biggest threats while lifting the smallest bodies to fighting weight. Against a battlefield of oversized attackers, it functions as a soft removal package that cuts a 7/7 down to a 2/2; poured onto a wide swarm of 1/1 tokens, it turns chaff into a real board. The tribal rider is the sneaky half. Bears are one of the game's oldest jokes (the "vanilla bear" is the yardstick every 2/2 for two gets measured against), and here the joke becomes a creature type stapled onto everything: any card that punishes or rewards a specific subtype has its scope quietly widened, and any tribal payoff counts the entire battlefield as kin. The layers interaction is where it gets thorny: base power and toughness is set before +1/+1 counters and anthem effects apply, so buffs still stack on top of the 2/2 chassis rather than being erased by it. That single word "base" is the load-bearing distinction, and it separates this from a blunt stat-wipe into something that reshapes combat math while leaving the rest of the game's arithmetic intact.
