Vehicles become artifact creatures the moment they are crewed, which means Kotori's beginning-of-combat lifelink-and-vigilance grant can land on the same Vehicle you just activated: it attacks, drains life on connect, and stays untapped to block back. That loop rewards a deck built around artifact creatures broadly, not Vehicles alone; anything with the artifact-creature type line becomes a target, and the vigilance turns your attackers into a defensive wall on the crackback. As a 2/4 body, Kotori is built to survive the combats it is enabling rather than to end them, which is the correct shape for a piece that wants to be crewing and granting turn after turn. The card sits at the intersection of two archetypes that rarely shared a home before: the go-wide Vehicles shell and the artifact-creature midrange pile, and it gives both a reason to keep attacking into open mana.
