Two demands, two payoffs, and neither one is what Bant usually signs up for. When it lands, it launders a cheap card out of your hand and plots it, converting a spell you'd cast now into deferred value you unload on a later turn without paying its cost. That is the setup. The engine is the second ability, a whole-board pump that fires every time a legendary creature enters under your control. Coupling those two clauses is the design point. This color triple has historically wanted incremental card advantage and permission, not a counter-per-legend snowball, so this reroutes the identity toward a legendary-matters shell where the reward scales with how densely you pack legends rather than how many bodies you flood onto the battlefield. The plot clause is the friction: it costs only a card and a turn, so it invites you to bank spells early while the board is still assembling, then dump plotted cards onto a battlefield that keeps widening. The counter trigger reads any legendary creature entering, not just ones you hardcast, which quietly rewards blink and reanimation as much as raw casting. The effect is to turn the legend count on your side of the table into a resource, and to make an enchantment that fields no attackers into the reason your attackers grow every time another legend touches down.
